Motorised Glider Experience
Is it a glider or a single engine airplane? Fly in a ‘normal’ airplane, then the turn the engine off and it becomes a glider. Could this be your first flying lesson? The day will start with in-depth theoretical instruction in which flight safety aspects will play an important role.
The theory lesson will prepare you for what you will be experiencing during the actual flight. How do the control instruments work? How does an airplane stay in the air? What influences does the weather have? What are the rules and regulations and how is flight traffic organized? If you still have questions, you can always ask your instructor. Together with the instructor you will inspect the glider before take off.
Once all the safety checks have been made your flight begins. For the next half hour you get the chance take the controls. Once you are at the appropriate altitude the pilot will (safely) switch off the engine and you will experience the thrill of gliding (weather permitting)
Program
- Welcome with coffee/tea
- Explanation and theory on flying and gliding
- Inspection and safty checks on the aircraft
- Instructional flight: 30 minutes p.p.
- A post flight debrief
